For many creative entrepreneurs being able to generate passive income is like finding the holy grail. After all, what could be more awesome than money coming daily with no work? Unfortunately, there are many misconceptions around passive income that many of you may have heard unrealistic expectations that has kept many of you from making real passive income.
How does passive income work, really? What can you really expect if you want to embark on the journey of creating streams of passive income?
Passive Income Requires Work Upfront
Passive income is like training for a marathon.It takes a lot of energy to get started. But once you are off and running, it will require a lot less energy. The expenditure is no longer about conditioning yourself for the next mile, but more staying on track to make it to the finish line.
The idea of having money coming in daily is very appealing. But the real deal is , there’s only two ways to create passive income: To buy it or to create it. If you got a few extra bucks lying around then you good to go, but if you have to create it, then it's going to require some work. Look I understand- not having to work is great, but you must be willing to put in the work upfront if you want to reap the benefits. There’s no such thing as passive income for nothing.
Passive Income Vehicles Online
There are many ways to make passive income online. Here are just a few I suggest:
AdSense Websites. If you have a site with good search engine rankings and you’re monetizing with AdSense, then as long as your site rankings are high than your income will be 100% passive.
Info Product. If you own an info product, such as an ecourse or ebook and have a sales model setup that includes driving traffic and converting that traffic into sales, then the money will keep coming in even while you sleep.
Affiliate Marketing. Again, if you have consistent traffic coming into your site, whether it’s through direct search engine traffic or through ads, so long as the traffic remains constant you’ll keep collecting a check whether or not you put in any work.
Keep in mind these are just a few of the many options available to you. I suggest to choose one, and work your plan. Once you have reached a passive income you are satisfied with then move on to the next passive income generator.
