My Philosophy
My business philosophy is driven by the saying, "Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he will eat for life". This phase means knowledge is power, strength, and possibility. It empowers a person with the ability to accomplish anything if they are taught how.
Education has always been very important to me, and it has always been an integral part of my life. I am a lifelong learner who will always be learning through research, experience, and interaction with others. I love to share what I have learned with my students,co-workers, family and friends but also look forward to learning even more from others.
Since my early days in the classroom - over 14 years of teaching experience -2 years grade school level & 12 years at the college level. I have spent a lot of time reflecting on what makes a Good Teacher?
Here are my thoughts on the subject... An educator is one who is respectful, understanding, approachable, and supportive. A "Good Teacher" demonstrates respect toward the students and and their learning ability. Teaching is a gift, which I respect and consider a passion. It is my calling to teach others what I love.
