Fashion Marketing Portfolio Review - Spring 2008

I love my job! I especially love the ideal of students showcasing their work. It is like a rites of passage. Students in my Associate fashion marketing portfolio course did a great job of displaying their business concepts to potential employees. As the instructor of this course, I am responsible for guiding the students in completing their business concept plans. The students are also required to create marketing materials that reflect their business concepts. Creating the marketing materials is right up my alley. I love the creative process and I believe the students in this course did a great job of developing a creative solutions to their marketing campaign.

Alica's, Charlie Angels flip hair style is absolutely great! I thinking of changing my do up a little. But anyway check out the video. Let me know if it brings back memories.

Sex in the City

To jump off my vacation, I decided to go see Sex in the City. Yes I know I am late. But I like to go to a movie, when all the hype dies down. The movie theater was empty, only 5 people in the theater. More than enough room to spread out.

For a person who loves and teaches fashion, this was a movie to see. The fashions were great! Especially the shoes and handbags. It made a girl love just being a girl. And I almost forgot about the closet. It was to die for.

The movie, also hit home for me in a personal way. For someone who is close to being 40, it makes u look at your life in a new light. Not anything sad, but reflecting on your accomplishments and future success.

So for those of you who have not seen it, please take the time to go. Yes it is a girl flick. But a well done girl flick.

 

Those Eyes

This is a piece I worked a couple of months ago. "Those Eyes" is part of the mynd space grant series.

The image of my grandmother was actual printed on top of the floral paper. I then added the musical paper, stamping, and paint. This image has an angelic quality. You really notice her eyes.
