This weekend, late at night I went into my studio to clean up a little. As I was cleaning up I was inspired to work on something new. All last week I had been researching different printing techniques, and tonight seem like a good time to experiment.
Igot out a piece of glass(from an old 8x10 picture frame), rolled out red ink, and started to draw stylized leaves with my index finger(All of my of brushed were dirty, that's why I was cleaning up my studio). I then placed a piece of white typing papr on top of the inked glass and gentle rubbed the back of the paper. Above ar the results of my mono-printing experience. I love the bright red color and the line quality. I even like the far right image. It is the result of the paint drying on the galss then printing from what was stll wet on the glass.
I plan to use the mono-prints in my collages. And I can not wait to share the results.
