For the past 6 weeks I have been working on a new art collection. The Mynd Space , Art Institute of Charlotte grant has inspired me to experiment with new and old artistic techniques. In the meantime I have been showing other some of my work. I have gotten a lot of advice and direction on how to improve on areas and advice on areas of my work I should maintain. But all and all I still have not been able to figure out exactly what is my signature style. A close friend was viewing my galley page from my website the other week and he mentioned to me that he has notice some change in my style of artwork. He said- The work you have done in past reflects that of a graphic designer and the work you are doing now lends more toward an artist. Well, I pondered that thought for a couple of days. Not until I was in my studio last week did it hit me that he was right. I am no longer a graphic designer who worked in the industry so long ago. I am a graphically inclined artist. I AM A GRAPHIC ARTIST. This graphic artist term is not new, but for me it is a new way for me to define my signature style.
